However, here are the seven which can immediately stop your content being a total snoozefest…
And help you become a more attractive affiliate here on The Book:
1. THINK OF YOUR CONTENT AS A RECIPE
Include too much of one ingredient and you’ll ruin it.
“Good Morning” posts every day will attract a ton of engagement but no leads or sales…
Whereas daily VaLuE bOmBs stretching into hundreds of words will just leave you burnt-out and broke.
A generous seasoning of income proof is what affiliate marketers often miss out.
2. BE CONSISTENT
Showing up until your competitors quit is how you win the war of attrition that is organic, social media marketing.
So, you need an easy, fun content schedule you can stick to.
It’s not as difficult as it sounds.
I recommend publishing 4-7 posts per week to my clients, the majority of which can be created in seconds…
Or a few minutes at most.
3. IMAGES + TEXT = WINS
Based on my own experience this is true.
A combination of a photo and text outperforms everything else when it comes to engagement and lead generation.
4. INFOTAINMENT IS YOUR FRIEND
I’ve been banging on about this for the past decade since I learned the concept from marketing genius Ben Settle.
Here’s the thing:
People use social media for entertainment and escapism.
They don’t want encyclopedic posts on topics they have no interest in…
Or, be bombarded by “begging letters” written by unsuccessful marketers desperately trying to convince their equally unsuccessful peers to choose them as their high ticket “mentor”.
5. BE REAL
Contrary to popular belief…
People AREN’T stupid.
This past week, I spoke to one pretender claiming to generate 20+ organic leads per day from their tedious, unengaged content…
And another who protested about making $10,000 per month without offering a single shred of evidence to back it up.
The market is crying out for authenticity.
6. SHARE YOUR SUCCESS
Ultimately, you have to “live the life you are selling”.
Become a product of the product…
And share your results along the way.
Yes, that means if you’re in the “make money online” niche…
You need to demonstrate you’re actually making some money.
Preferably without the aid of Photoshop.
7. FINALLY, HAVE SOME FUN
As Dan says, social media is not “real life”…
But it’s one of the fastest ways to overcome the know, like and trust barrier.
Enjoy your marketing…
And others will enjoy what you’re doing too.
Who knows, they may even buy something from you.
Which would make a refreshing change, right?
